Volunteering: Together we can!

Helping side by side

VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BIG HEART OF OUR ORGANIZATION!

In our Home, each of them, no matter the size of their contribution, helps in the growth and care of the children, offering them love, time, knowledge, and support.

Our work at the Home wouldn’t be possible without the enormous group of Volunteers who provide support in various areas: health, education, nutrition, recreation, and entertainment. Their skills, time, and willingness to give are key to enriching our work for the children of the Home.

This year, 41 new volunteers joined the Home, assisting the children in their daily tasks, offering the time and the affection they need.

There are different tasks you can help with as a volunteer, from washing vegetables like Estela does every Monday, to taking the kids to the doctor or soccer practice, as Andrea, María José, Paula, and Pablo do, or even offering academic support.

Here’s how you can volunteer:

– Providing assistance with care, academic support, and recreational activities.

– Offering workshops in art, creativity, games, or physical expression.

– Participating in resource development, design, communication, and social media actions.

– Assisting with administrative tasks or technical support.

– Joining specific projects, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.

What we offer you:

– Training related to the tasks and themes we address.

– A sense of belonging and integration into a team.

– Participation in communications and events of institutional life.

– A volunteer credential. The Program adheres to Provincial Law 13.447 on social volunteering.

Do you know what social volunteering is?

It is the work people do out of solidarity without receiving a salary, in non-profit organizations.

What kind of organizations can you work for to be a social volunteer?

They can be public or private organizations that are not seeking to profit from their activity. They can be foundations or associations; the type doesn’t matter. They must seek the common good and work for the interest of the community. For example, they should provide social, civic, educational, cultural, scientific, sports, healthcare services, development cooperation, environmental protection, etc.

What are my obligations as a volunteer?

– Work with care and accept the goals and objectives of the activities you have committed to.

– Respect the rights of the beneficiaries, that is, the children and adolescents in the Home.

– Do not share any information you obtain from your work as a volunteer if it could affect others.

– Participate in the training provided by the organization to improve your activities.

– Use your volunteer identification appropriately.
