Another 4 siblings graduate from our Home!

Every time the kids graduate from our Home, we create a photo album to leave them with a memento. And these siblings… they were so little when they arrived!

Four years is a long time in the life of a child. They didn’t arrive at the home together; they came at different times and in different years. This sometimes happens due to the availability of spaces in the homes.

But the youngest… he visited his siblings so many times until one day we managed to transfer him from the home where he lived, and they were able to reunite and live together every day.

Finally, the day came! A couple wanted to start a big family with them. We met many times, created chat groups, and we accompanied them on this very special start to their family.

This adoption of four was complex, because their ages were different. But the parents embraced the idea that “complex” does not mean “difficult,” and it wasn’t. Supported by groups of other parents going through the same process and the help of external professionals it all started to run its course!

At our Home, we reflect on the fact that there are many ways to become children and parents, and when the decision is made, this miracle of family love happens.

Once again, we see them walking hand in hand with their two parents, and watching them walk away from this great Home, which was their home for four long years, confirms to us that we did things right.

Living in a family is a fundamental right for every child or adolescent. Both international treaties and Argentine laws state this, but even so, many children spend an average of three years in the care of homes. We have many examples of this and even longer stays.

We will miss them, but this is what our Home is about—we are a bridge to a family destiny.
